Cutwork Embroidery Pattern

Cutwork Embroidery Pattern
Cut work, also known by its Italian name, Puntotagliato, is an embroidery technique which requires the artist to strategically remove – cut – pieces of fabric and fill the resulting openings with original embroidery designs that both decorate and reinforce them. Natural fabrics that hold their shape, like cotton and linen, are typically preferred for this style of embroidery and the sturdiness of these fabrics presents an elegant juxtaposition to the delicate embroidery and needle lace that adorns them.
