Appliqué is an embroidery technique that produces beautiful designs through the application of pieces of one or more types of fabric to another piece of fabric of different colour and/or texture on top of which accents and details are stitched. The appliqué embroidery approach allows you to quickly create a variety of different looks with the same design – simply use different coloured fabrics and textures as the background!
